Approaching completion, my feature documentary Golf Alpha Yankee follows the story of several gay refugees from Iran who live in limbo, hoping to be granted permanent asylum in the West. The film combines personal interviews animation, ethnofiction, and raucously obscene verité to paint a unique portrait of the lives of exiles in waiting.
